Kellie M. Martin is an American TV and film actress. She is most famous for her role as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children, was able to help her get a guest spot in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy". In the years following her Yale University graduation, she began to concentrate on acting, and managed to get major roles on both cinema and television. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also an accomplished photographer and ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away due to Lupus at age 19, led her to becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
